Long routes
The Saturday “Grand Parcours”/Long route: Morzine / Champéry
This 87km route gives the strongest riders a chance to really go for it.
Timed sections can include mountain passes and long, false-flat climbs.
For security reasons, and so that everyone can enjoy the views and the local drink and food stations, the descents are not timed.
To take part in the 2-day challenge event, this route can be combined with the other long route on Sunday 25 August.
The Sunday “Grand Parcours”/Long route: Champéry / Morzine
The biggest route of the weekend - and without doubt the hardest physical challenge - at 92km long and 3 mountain passes to climb.
Takes in Morgins from Champéry, via the forest-lined route used by Critérium du Dauphiné racers and considered to be a tough climb even by the best of them; then the Corbier pass, the Joux Verte pass, a quick section in Avoriaz resort, then descent to Morzine.
